The expectation is that you spend 10 minutes a night working on the POW. We want you to journal your work each night. Write down your goals, strategies, diagrams, charts, and your work in your journal. At the end of each session, write a reflection on what you discovered and what remains to be done to solve the POW. Your journaling of POW9 and the solution is due Monday, September 22.
Kevin is definately a slacker.

im very confused with this sheet.the fact that they're not any numbers to work with is what makes it difficult
During class we talked about some strategies that we could use to solve this problem. One strategy was to actually make up a scenario with numbers, since there were not actual numbers in out POW. I would make up several scenarios, until I could see a pattern.
Other students suggested that we have to create variables, and that our formulas maybe all variables.
Here's a strategy. List out every single factor that the problem asks for. Anything that will affect the answer is a factor. Then, try to figure out the relationships between these factors. Variables in a equation are like words in a sentence. All you have to do is translate this relationship.
Hey Mr. Marti,
Is the whole write up due on Monday or just the journaling and solution?
Only the journaling and solution are due.
what has to be in the write up?
Basically the expectations that this post list: Evidence of your nightly 10 minutes of work.
From the JCP homework site:"The expectation is that you spend 10 minutes a night working on the POW. We want you to journal your work each night. Write down your goals, strategies, diagrams, charts, and your work in your journal. At the end of each session, write a reflection on what you discovered and what remains to be done to solve the POW."
