By now you have probably heard of some upcoming changes that will happen at Jones. How do you feel about the changes that have occurred at Jones this year? What are your feelings on the scheduled changes?
Watching this video (sorry if YouTube is blocked), there is a line..."We ain't ready, to see a black President"...any reactions?

hahaha i love the fact that 2pac is on our blog...
and to that line, i find it very interesting that everything we do in life is always categorized by either race, gender, sexuality, anything. it seems that everyone always tries to separate people into categories, even if they dont realize it, but yet they say they are open to all people. i think its just in our nature to realize the differences in people. and why do people say they are mistreated because of lets say race, but then they make it a point to separate themselves from other races or follow stereotypes...
ohh and i havent heard of the changes at jones... what are they?
I feel like it doesn't really matter if people separate everyone into categories. What matters is whether or not they treat those categories equally, or if one category has a negative connotation or something like that...
But maybe the simple act of separating people would bring with it the implication that one group is better than another... hmmm...
ANYWAY, those changes at Jones. I feel like many of them were unnecessary. I don't know about everyone else, but I thought things were fine the way they were. It would be one thing if the changes improved on the old systems, but they don't, really.
I don't know what the scheduled changes are, but, then I guess that's part of the problem. None of the students do.
Well, although this is a little late, I feel like I should say something about the changes at Jones. "That's just the way it is" seems to quite nicely describe how life is, whether it is changes at Jones or changes within the nation. We are in no authority to make any changes, just like how we have no authority to make any changes in America. Governmental structures have always been that way; authoritative. There's little to no way to make any true changes, and it is not going to get better.
As for changes in Jones (as this is what seems to be focused on) the school needs much better communication between the student and the unknown decision makers at the school. It appears that many students did not know about many of the changes, and still DO NOT know about further changes, should there be any, but "that's just the way it is." The school, like a state, is to serve it's people, not the other way around. I know many feel like many changes were imposed on us and had little time to figure out what was really going on. The use of rhetoric (in the sense of a civil art) was extremely well done by the decision makers. My advise is to give up and accept it.
Lastly, my comment on the quote; America as a whole appears to be ready for change, but the hearts of the people are like childrens' hearts.
