How to find the Specific Functions

What techniques did we try in class today?

How are you going to find the specific function on our quiz this Friday?

If given a list of data points, we can of course make a good inference of what kind of function it is by looking at the outputs and then try to either divide/subtract/etc to find the pattern to fit the data.

If given points, we can solve for the variable.
2 points = Linear
3 points = Quadratic
4 points = Cubic
(with slope or system)

Graph it. Look for patterns. Use Regression function on the calculator but always verify by plugging in points, etc.
