We are currently studying Periodic Functions.

Below are some examples of periodic motion that we could examine mathematically and find their periodic function.

Can you identify other examples of periodic motion? Add a comment and share your examples.

Heartbeats as a function of time, pretty much anything moving in a circle-like way. Sleep cycles. Yes?

Thisguy,

Can you explain more about your heartbeat example? Wouldn't heartbeats be all over the place?

Yes, heart beats have a graph that resembles periodic motion. For example, when in a movie a patient is in a coma, the patient is hooked up to a machine that takes the heart beat over a period of time. Those graphs resemble periodic functions, yes?
