I noticed that only the knights sitting in odd numbered chairs even have a chance of winning, even numbers are eliminated in the first trip around that table

i have drawn diagrams for tables with 3 chairs to 14 chairs and i still dont see any type of pattern except that even numbered chairs cannot win im not sure what i should do next to get a equation or rule

It looks like both of you have discovered that even numbered chairs cannot win. That's a good start.

Bev, can you see patterns with the winning chairs? I actually had to do much more than 14 chairs before I started to see the pattern.

I've got the general rule that every time the number of knights increases, the winner increases by two. I just drew out the numbers and did it over and over for every number and that is what I found; I can't however manage to fit that into a formula.
